I am a qualified Physiotherapist specialising in musculo skeletal conditions. I have always been interested in the body and the importance of movement to promote wellbeing.

In my teenage years, I was the North West county gymnast champion, as a gymnast I had to understand the capabilities of my body and the exercise regime required to keep healthy. After the birth of my first son, I was able to get back into shape quickly, however in my late twenties I had a horse riding accident that resulted in a fracture of my neck. I realised after experiencing first-hand the process of rehabilitation with a physiotherapist how important movement was for health and so started my journey of education, qualification, teaching and caring.

I’ve been practising yoga since my early 20’s and initially trained as a yoga teacher in various styles, with some amazing teachers including Iyengar trained, Dharma Mittra and Richard Freeman as well as training in Hatha, Ashtanga, Flow Yoga and Kundalini Yoga. After qualifying as a teacher, I continued to become a teacher trainer in Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga with I-sky teacher training.

In addition to Yoga I trained in Pilates as a mat based teacher and have loved the results in both patients and students.

As a busy mum of three children and running two yoga studios in the past 10 years I decided to take the next step and become a physiotherapist.

I enrolled for my BSc Physiotherapy at Southampton University and since graduating with Honours, I have specialised in musculoskeletal injuries in both NHS and private settings with special interests lower back and shoulder injuries. I have also gained further qualifications in hydrotherapy, sports trauma, kinesio and various taping, children’s sporting injuries, and mindfulness meditation. These qualifications further complement my Yoga and Pilates teaching and training of students and patients.

I currently work within the NHS setting as a Physiotherapist (Band 6) and won three WOW awards for patient recognition, and LB Healthcare as a Hydro therapist, along with running my own physiotherapy practise. I continue to teacher train students with I-Sky international as a posture specialist, including alignment and anatomy and run local classes in both beginners and intermediate yoga and Pilates and chair yoga.

I provide a Physiotherapy and Sports Trauma service to the Solent Devils Ice Hockey Team, which consists of injury rehabilitation, pre-game treatments, taping and management of on ice trauma.

Outside of work I love swimming, kayaking, running, walking, nature, animals, vegan food and the odd fun gymnastics session.

It’s certainly been a diverse journey which I have loved learning and helping those with long term and acute conditions; taking students from rehabilitation or working with a particular condition; expanding to an appropriate level suitable to each individual.

My passion and ethos is to enable a patient or student to reach their full potential and happiness in life through correct therapy, support, guidance and education, with precise movement and utilising the life skills toolbox of yoga posture, meditation, relaxation and lifestyle.
